The Goddess Project began with a collection of ten songs, retelling the stories of our favorite female characters in Greek Mythology. The songs have since grown into a play, or rather, a metatheatrical rock musical that addresses themes of friendship, femininity and the creative process. Since its inception, The Goddess Project has grown tremendously to include a full band, a recorded album on the way, an ever-growing following and a theatrical debut– and we’re just getting started. Last November we premiered a shortened version of our script at The New York Theatre Festival, joined by a fearsome director and producing partner in Barbara Pitts McAdams.
